If your dad has a shelf of LEGO®, or a box in the loft he refuses to let anyone touch, Father's Day is a good excuse to add to it. Adult LEGO fans are everywhere (collectors, builders, nostalgic ex-kids), and a minifigure is a thoughtful gift for any of them. Here's how to pick one that means something.
Think about what he already loves
Skip the guesswork and go from his interests rather than "LEGO" in general:
- Grew up with the original Star Wars films? Look at Star Wars minifigures.
- Comic-book fan? Try Marvel or DC.
- Reads fantasy? Our range includes The Lord of the Rings and Dungeons & Dragons collectible figures.
- Loves a film franchise or cartoon? Browse Disney or the promotionals.
Gift ideas by type of dad
The collector
He probably knows exactly what he's missing, so ask someone in the family for a list, or choose a figure from the Collectible Minifigures range. Many collectors work through a series figure by figure.
The nostalgic one
Figures from retired sets can bring back memories of what he played with growing up, and they are harder to find in the shops today.
The builder
If he builds his own creations, give him something to put in them. A few characters in a Used - worn grade are inexpensive and ready to go into a custom build.
The "he has everything" dad
Choose a staff favourite and add a card. It's a gift that says you noticed what he enjoys.
Make it more than a figure
- Write a note about why you picked that character.
- Pair two figures that tell a story, like a hero and their rival.
- Add a display stand or small frame so it goes straight on the shelf.
Budget and delivery
Lots of our figures are under £20, so you can pick up a thoughtful gift without overspending. See Under £20. We deliver to UK addresses only, at £5.99, or free on orders of £75 or more. As most of our figures are one-offs, order early so you don't miss the one you've chosen.
Not sure what to pick? Tell us a bit about him and we'll help you choose.
